Poker tournament series are usually targeted towards high stakes players willing to shell out hundreds to thousands of dollars for tournament entry. Luckily, PokerStars looks to change all that with their MicroMillions poker tournament festival. For eleven days, PokerStars will host a low-stakes poker festival with buy-ins ranging from 11 cents to $22. Needless to say, the action will be absolutely unbelievable.

The tournament series will kick off on November 15th at 10:00 ET. The first event is scheduled to be a $0.11+rebuys No Limit Hold’em tournament with $10,000 guaranteed. Unlike other tournament series that only host two or three events per day, the MicroMillions will host 100 events within eleven days. That’s an average of more than nine tournaments per day with some days holding ten events. The MicroMillions will culminate on November 25 with its $22 NL Hold’em Main Event. There will be $1 million guaranteed by PokerStars which means the first place winner is guaranteed at least a $150,000 prize.

The MicroMillions tournament series was launched earlier this year and has become the most prestigious tournament event in low-stakes poker. As a matter of fact, the first MicroMillions festival was the most popular online poker tournament series of all-time with 1,294,883 registrants. Russia is the most active country in this tournament series with 424,732 entrants, 41 event winners, and 50,432 cash finishes totaling $2,325,527.77.

Just days ago, PokerStars released this year’s schedule for what it describes as “the biggest and most prestigious annual tournament series anywhere online,” the World Championship of Online Poker, or WCOOP. WCOOP 2012 will begin with three events on Sunday, September 2, and will conclude with three other events, including WCOOP’s Main Event, on Sunday, September 23.

Like last year’s WCOOP, this year’s tournament series will include 62 different events that will be played over a 22-day period. Even though PokerStars has not yet announced the guaranteed prize pools each event will have, if WCOOP 2012 is similar to last year’s series, PokerStars will reward winning players with more money than what the site ultimately guarantees anyway. For instance, PokerStars offered $30 million as an overall guarantee for WCOOP 2011, but ended up paying out more than $47 million in prize money.

The Beast is set to become the largest rake race online poker has ever seen. Released this month by America’s Cardroom, it has already surpassed a major milestone last week on Wednesday.

For those who have been out of the loop, the Beast is the brainchild of America’s Cardroom. It is a progressive rake race that grows just as a bad beat jackpot would. Unlike a bad beat jackpot, the Beast is hit each and every month. More players are eligible to win a share of the Beast as it grows in size. More information is available here.

On July 11th, the Beast climbed to a $100,000 prize pool in only 11 days. As of today, July 18th, the Beast is at $126,469.17. It is set to shatter records as the biggest rake race online poker has ever seen. America’s Cardroom has certainly hit a homerun with this promotion. It will be very interesting to see how the first month of the Beast plays out!

Innovative promotions have been missing from poker for quite a while now but America’s Cardroom just changed all that. They’ve created a fun new promotion that puts cash in their customers’ pockets. This month, they’ve released the world’s first-ever progressive rake race. They’ve given this awesome promotion the title of The Beast.

The Beast mixes elements of a poker jackpot and a rake race. Like any poker jackpot, a fee is taken from jackpot tables and contributed to a growing pot that players can win. Like a rake race, players play as many hands as possible to earn as many points as possible. At the end of the month, the players with the most points win the most money. Unlike a standard poker jackpot, the jackpot is “hit” every month. Also, unlike a standard rake race, the amount awarded by the jackpot is different every month and changes with the number of players contributing to it.

Players earn points at America’s Cardroom simply by playing at real money tables. Anyone that contributes to a pot will receive an equal piece of the points pie (America’s Cardroom uses a contributed system to distribute points). Of course, the higher stakes tables distribute more poker points. A fee (in addition to the rake) is taken out of the pot to “feed the beast” or contribute to the jackpot. The fee taken out of the pot will also be contributed to the bad beat jackpot.

As The Beast grows in size, more players are eligible to win more money. For example, a $50,000 pool pays out 200 players while a $90,000 pool pays out 360 players. The first place winner is paid 13% of the total prize pool or $30,000, whichever is lower (basically, a player can win a maximum of $30,000 through this promotion). In addition to the cash, players may also win satellite seats to major live tournaments such as the Punta Cana Poker classic and the Latin Series of Poker.

This is truly a one-of-a-kind promotion that will most likely catch on at other poker rooms.

William Hill Poker (WHP) has made it an exciting time to be an online poker fan. A favorite among players in Europe and the United Kingdom, WHP is running a number of promotions for the remainder of the year to keep its loyal fans and curious newcomers engaged. Poker sites are notorious for trying to earn player trust, but William Hill is making a statement about the importance of player satisfaction with this tremendous appeal to the inner gambler in all of us.

FlopTurnRiver.com has teamed up with William Hill Poker to offer loyal fans the chance to win big in a freeroll tournament. The “Free iPad 2 Tournament” has its namesake as the top prize, Apple’s new and improved iPad 2 personal tablet worth $500. With registration currently ongoing, the tournament will begin at 19:00 (server time) on July 25, 2012. This freeroll is exclusive to players who sign up for William Hill Poker through FlopTurnRiver, so follow this link for more information about signing up and getting in on this amazing freeroll!

New players on William Hill Poker will be excited to know that WHP offers a large deposit bonus of £1250 / $2000 USD / €1400 with their New Player Bonus. This bonus doubles your initial deposit and earns you automatic entry into the New Depositors Freeroll. With 90 days to fully earn their bonus, players will clear $5 of bonus for every 350 WHPoints they earn through play on cash tables and in tournaments.

William Hill also offers a number of other freerolls that are eligible for players of all types. If sports betting is your game, the £500 Free Bet Freeroll may be just for you. This freeroll occurs every Wednesday and only requires that a player has deposited at least £10 into their poker account in the previous week. It’s that easy to get your chance at up to £100 in free bets! Getting in on the WHP Facebook £500 Freeroll is even easier. For U.K. players only, all a player needs to do is “Like” William Hill on Facebook and enter your player nickname and you’ll be entered into the freeroll tournament.

The free play continues on William Hill with the First Deposit Freeroll. All a player must do is make their first deposit with WHP and they are automatically given 4 free entries into the $1,000 New Depositors Freeroll. Players will also qualify for the New Depositors Prize Freeroll with a variety of great prizes including a Sony PS3, laptops and other electronics.

Consistent players may have earned a free ticket into the $109 Sunday Blast tournament if they earned enough WHPoints in the last three months. A total of 350 WHPoints per month over the last three months would earn entry into a freeroll and 20 Sunday Blast tokens, and an average of 35,000 WHPoints means a free Sunday Blast entry token!

William Hill Poker has many other player-oriented promotions, meant for the serious and casual, those who play online and those who prefer live poker. Though it is a number of months away, the 2012 Irish Winter Festival looks to be an exciting opportunity for live poker fans. Held at the beautiful Burlington Hotel in Dublin, winners of one of the weekly €150 + €12 Super Satellites can earn a stellar €1,800 in tournament entries, travel and accommodations for their stay during the events on October 27 through 31. There is a Mega Satellite tournament with a €200 + €15 buy-in on October 9, 2012 at 20:00 U.K. time that will give away an unbelievable 20 packages for this event! Players can also take part in their weekly ticket-only Main Event Satellites which players can earn entry to through daily ticket Super Satellites. This is certainly an exciting opportunity for live poker fans!

In a similar vein, William Hill is awarding packages to the second annual GUKPT Goliath at the Grosvenor G Casino in Coventry. Held from August 22 – 27, players can play in a Super Satellite to try and win a £1,000 package. Super Satellites are currently running and are held every Tuesday as £40+4 Freezeout tournaments. This package includes the £120 Main Event buy-in and money for airfare, accomodation’s and other various spending. In its second year, this Goliath is sure to attract hobbyists and veterans alike looking to win hundreds of thousands in guaranteed money.

Online players can also earn a bit of spending money for themselves and their friends. With the WHP Refer-A-Friend program, a player can earn $50 in bonus dollars if they refer a friend who then deposits at least $50. That friend would then also earn a free $50 in bonus dollars, to go along with any new player bonuses they may have earned.

William Hill is also currently running one of the largest cash promotions in their history. Players will have a chance to earn their share of $750,000 via the WHP Cash Point leaderboards. The nuts and bolts of the promotion is once a player has registered for the promo, if that player pays rake on cash game tables he or she will automatically be enrolled into the promotion. Players can also play Sit&Go tournaments to earn the most Cash Points and try to top the leaderboards. Separate leaderboards for Micro, Low and Mid/High stakes exist to provide an opportunity for players of every level. This promotion ends September 23rd so there is plenty of time to make your stamp on a leaderboard and earn your cut of the nearly $1 million prize pool.

Willam Hill Poker has pushed the tournament promotions to the maximum, bringing players a fantastic variety of options to satisfy their every tournament need. The WHP Super Series guarantees a payout of £13,000 every week, with a special tournament every single day. Highlights include the £1,500 guaranteed Monday Madness Omaha Rebuy and the Sunday £5,000 guaranteed Super Sunday Main Event. There are Super Satellites that take place just before the Main Event so it’s never too late to get a ticket into their tournament!

The Goal Fest promotion has run throughout the Euro 2012 football tournament and hinges its value on the number of goals scored in that nights match! Prizes can be multiplied up to 4x based on the final score of a match. The Goal Fest Grand Final is coming up soon on July 6, 2012 at 20:00 U.K. time, with a current prize pool of over $1200, and a buy-in of $10+$1.

For players who seek huge paydays but don’t have the biggest bankroll, William Hill offers the Steps Tournament series so you can climb your way to the top of the tournament heap! Starting at a paltry $0.15, players can earn their way up from Steps 1-7, eventually winning a ticket into the $215 Sunday $200,000 guaranteed tournament. Players also have ample opportunity to earn their buy-in back without winning the Step so this promotion is a great investment.

The Sunday $200,000 Guaranteed is the biggest tournament on William Hill and it runs every week! At 18:00 U.K. time every Sunday, thousands of players gear up to win a portion of that massive prize pool. Smaller satellite tournaments take place all week leading up to the tourney, so players again have ample opportunity to get in on the cheap and make their mark.

William Hill Poker also offers the $150,000 Sit&Go High Gear promotion. Over the next new months players can climb their way up the High Gear Leaderboards to win prizes. The more players in the Sit&Go, the more points it is worth. This promo also has leaderboards for multiple stakes.

On Fridays and Saturdays, William Hill hopes to reward the weekend warriors out there with huge guaranteed prize pool tournaments. The Friday $60,000 guaranteed is at 20:00 U.K. time and has a $109 buy-in, though there are a number of satellites available for this fine event. On Saturday, the $40,000 guaranteed tournament has the same $109 buy-in and satellites in the Sit&Go and multi-table qualifier formats, among others.

The Jackpot Sit&Go Tournaments are for the ultimate gamblers. With four different tiers, these tournaments are perfect for players of any budget. The jackpots range from a solid $2,000 to a whopping $50,000 in the premiere Fort Knox Sit&Go. These jackpots are won by winning consecutive Sit&Gos, six in a row for the $50,000 Fort Knox grand prize. Perhaps the best part of this promotion is that if no one wins during the week, part of last week’s prize is added to the jackpot. For the Fort Knox tournaments, $20,000 is added on to next week’s jackpot if there is no winner!

Overall William Hill has an astounding number of promotions catering to every conceivable type of player, so all that’s needed are the right players to take down these massive prizes!

Bovada is gearing up for their second $7,500 PTS freeroll of the month.

Bovada is gearing up for their second $7,500 PTS freeroll of the month. Scheduled for this Saturday, the event will allow players to compete over a sizable for sum for as little as 25 Poker Points (PTS). The top 20% of the field will receive a return on their investment, with a first place prize set at $1,000. Registration times for this event will vary, so be sure to check the lobby on Friday or early Saturday.

Players who wish to buy in directly can do so for a sum of 1,000 PTS. Those looking to spend a little less should check out a few of the other options listed below.

Each day, Bovada will offer several satellites options, each aimed at users with slightly smaller PTS reserves. The first of these is a 200 point affair, running each day at 5:10 PM ET. The top 15 finishers will be awarded with a Tournament Ticket for the $7,500 freeroll.

Next down the ladder is Bovada’s Sit & Go option. These qualifiers will run throughout the day, featuring a buy-in of 150 PTS. Each table will feature 6-handed action, with the top finisher being awarded a seat at Saturday’s event.

The cheapest route, however, is the 25 PTS Turbo Qualifier, running at 11:10 PM ET each day. The final 15 players in this event will receive an invite to the $7,500 freeroll, making this one of the stronger options for novice users.

As previously mentioned, this is the second such tournament of April. Bovada will be offering two of these events for each month, taking place on the second and final Saturdays. In total, these represent a $15,000 up for grabs each and every month.

bet365 recently rolled out, similar to Ludacris, a new, better reward system for its players. For some players, the changes mean 25% more cash. Also, even casual players can earn hundreds of dollars thanks to bet365′s new VIP system. Best of all, bet365 rewards your hard work with sweet, sweet cash.

At bet365, your VIP status is determined by the number of Merit Points you accumulate. To earn Merit Points, simply play real money cash and tournament games. The number of points you earn determines on how two things: how much time you play and what stakes you play. For example, a 200NL grinder earns more points in the same amount of time as a casual player who is playing 10NL.

The number of Merit Points you earn in a month determines your VIP status. Here is the breakdown:

Bronze - 1 Merit Point
Silver – 1,000 Merit Points
Gold – 10,000 Merit Points
Platinum – 25,000 Merit Points

Merit Points do more than sit in your account. First, you can impress girls with them. I heard girls really like it when you have a lot of merit points. Why? Because you can exchange those Merit Points for cash. Recently, bet365 made a great decision to give you more cash for less points!

On the left, you will find the number of Merit Points needed to redeem the amount on the right. If you’re a casual player, it isn’t too hard to pick up the first $50 and $100 bonus.

7,500 Merit Points - $50
20,000 – $150
50,000 – $600
100,000 – $1,350
200,000 – $3,500 (was $3,000)
375,000 – $7,500 (was $7,000)
700,000 – $17,500 (was $15,000)
1,500,000 – $45,000 (was $37,500)
2,500,000 – $80,000 (was $70,000)
5,000,000 $165,000 (was $150,000)

When you’re ready to redeem, simply contact customer support. At bet365, you play and they pay!
