After making his way through a field fraught with professionals, talented amateurs, and the usual crowd of fortune seekers, Charlie “CHAZ_MAN_C” Combes took the crown in the latest running of the Ultimate Bet Online Championship. This Monster Stack NLHE Event featured a total of 1,032 entrants, each of whom ponied up $1,000 + $50 for their shot at the $1,000,000 guaranteed cash.

The tournament, which beat its guarantee by $32,000, was hosted by Phil Hellmuth and featured such names as Scott Ian (316th) and Eric Baldwin (223rd). Also present was recent ESPN featuree Billy Kopp, who managed to put together an exciting run.

The final hand played out in typical late-tournament fashion, when a face card is all it takes to induce a an all-in call from the short stack. Chip leader CHAZ_MAN_C shoved all in from the button, turning over Qs2s. He was called by TOOCURIOUSSO, who held a stronger hand of Kd9c. The flop went 3dJs6s, giving the the short stack a high-card advantage. The turn, however, was the Qd. A meaningless 5d would fall on the river, granting victory to CHAZ_MAN_C after twelve hours of grueling play.

The final table wound down like this:

#1 – CHAZ_MAN_C ($136,178)

#2 – TOOCURIOUSSO ($95,000)

#3 – VENUSIGNA ($152,000)

#4 – WALLABBAER ($145,000)

#5 – APATHY123 ($56,244)

#6 – WAMMERMOUTH ($45,924)

#7 – MST_MORPHEUS ($35,406)

#8 – 1GENERAL_YAO ($25,284)

#9 – DONRIKY ($17,544)

As you can see, there were some shenanigans in the distributions of top-finisher funds. There was apparently a four way deal, with the third place finisher actually receiving the highest amount of cash.

Other notable finishers included former WPT Player of the Year Faraz “THE-TOILET” Jaka, who was knocked out in 22nd place. Another pair of familiar faces came close to the final table – Craig “MRCASINO” Gray (20th) and Billy Kopp (12th) – before falling just short.

When he was made aware of it, UltimateBet’s COO, Paul Leggett, quickly addressed this latest problem on the UltimateBet Blog: “Earlier today we learned about a poker hand where our system paid out the losing player instead of the correct winning hand. The hand number is #1162170993. We are investigating this software malfunction as our absolute top priority. This is the first incident of this kind we have encountered. We are currently examining the poker system and the application logs in order to pinpoint the cause of this malfunction.”

No word if Phil Hellmuth’s super-user account had been locked yet.

Givememyleg won’t be covering the Ultimate Bet Leaderboard this week, as he’s taking a much-needed vacation, and will be back next week. However, I’ll be filling in for him this week, bringing you the news on all the tournament action that has transpired on Ultimate Bet in the last week.

The common top player on Ultimate Bet – scottyclark – is nowhere to be seen on the current leaderboard for this week. He may be taking a week or two off, as the World Series of Poker is in full effect, and there’s millions to be won in Las Vegas right now. Here’s what the Top 10 look like for this week thus far.

rollemm 372.60
leaddogallin 209.73
wretchy 205.24
dankgambler76 203.86
iakamber 176.95
krej 173.76
Thanks4playN 162.95
triggathree 162.17
Riggsb14 158.16
theswan9999 155.25

Rollemm is riding atop the Ultimate Bet Leaderboard, running hot, with three wins this week, totalling over $13k! He’s going to have to watch out if he wants to hold onto the lead, as wretchy has been one of the hottest players online in the past few months, bar none. He’s been terrorizing high stakes tournaments over all major sites, and shows no signs of slowing down.

That’s all this week for the shortened version of the Ultimate Bet Leaderboard. If you’d like to take a look at today’s top players, check out http://www.flopturnriver.com/Excapsa-UltimateBet-Players-20080620.php. Also, if you’d like to take a look at any other days, be sure to head over to http://poker-network.flopturnriver.com/Excapsa-Network.php and see any days you want.

Next week givememyleg will be back, delivering all the Ultimate Bet Leaderboard action once again.

Another week has passed, and more prizes have been given out at Ultimate Bet! Every week, Ultimate Bet awards its players with tournament credits and the chance to play heads up with a UB pro for $1,000 or more!

If you recall in last week‘s article, mross01 shot up from 12th place to win the week and was scheduled to take on UB pro Mark “P0ker H0″ Kroon for $3,000. The Ultimate Bet pro’s have been on a rush as of late, winning the last 2 matches, bumping the $1,000 up to $3,000. Well, that was no different this week, and Kroon defeated mross01, keeping the streak alive and increasing next week’s prize pool! Too bad for mross01, but still a great effort and the $1,000 will be added to next Sunday’s game. P0ker H0 has been handling these top MTT pros very well!

Last Wednesday, I showed the current top 10 for the week of June 1 – June 7, and EddyTown21 was sitting in 1st place with 205.98 points. He had a great start to the week, but was by no means guaranteed the win! In second place, royalkc was behind by just one point, and others, such as scottyclark, weren’t far behind either. Could EddyTown21 hold on to the lead? Let’s have a look at the results (to view to complete top 50, check out the June 10th Archive):

scottyclark 374.27 – $4,000 Heads-Up Match
punko 281.26 – $100 TC
blunttman4200 257.79 – $100 TC
gray99 243.10 – $100 TC
krej 241.47 – $100 TC
mattpat 238.80 – $100 TC
Bugga1224 237.89 – $100 TC
shipaholic 236.17 – $100 TC
spades27 226.25 – $100 TC
travelerjbjb 220.17 – $100 TC

Just how does this guy do it? Once again, scottyclark proves his continuing dominance by winning the weekly UB MTT Leaderboard! Last week, he was sitting comfortably in 6th place with 162.05 points, and finished very strong at 374.27. 2nd place finishe, punko, was 93 points behind which was quite the lead. EddyTown21 was unable to add any points at all to his starting lead, and finished in 14th place. Other players such as blunttman4200 in 3rd, krej in 5th, and spades27 in 9th are no strangers to the top 10 either; each having a few top 10 finishes in the past. However, all eyes are on scottyclark once again! This is his 4th win in 8 weeks which is just completely sick.

With this win, scottyclark will be playing this Sunday against a UB pro (currently unknown who) for $4,000! I have to put my money on scottyclark to take home some serious cash! Congratulations to scottyclark, yet again!

Now moving on to the current week, June 8 – June 14, a new name is in the lead, with some old friends not far behind (to see the complete to 50, check out the June 11th Archive):

CptMotorBoat 148.30
TheTartan1 120.25
punko 110.87
BAM11586 100.38

Currently, wheresmydrew is the top dog with 209.79 points. This is the first time I have noticed him in the top 10, and 1st place is a great spot to debut in! There are also a lot of new faces, pretty much everyone except the UB destroyer, scottyclark, in 7th place. We have seen scottyclark come back from worse and win multiple weeks in a row, but for now the pressure is on wheresmydrew. Let’s see if this newcomer can hold on to his lead!

Be sure to check back next week to see the result of scottyclark’s $4,000 heads up match, and for the final results of June 8 – June 14th! Also, if you can’t wait and want to follow the action, check out the Ultimate-Bet Network page where you can find daily updated results under Poker Leaderboards.

It’s Wednesday which means another week for the UB leaderboards. Every week, Ultimate Bet awards its players with tournament credits and the chance to play heads up with a UB pro for $1,000 or more!

When we last left off, nibbler was declared the champion and destroyed the competition with his 651 points. To put this is perspective, 2nd place had 350 points, so nibbler had almost twice as many! Nibbler was set to play UB Pro Shawn Rice for his $2,000 heads up match. If you recall last week, scottyclark fell victim to Mark “P0ker H0″ Kroon which means the $1,000 would be carried over. This was a-ok with nibbler as he was now playing for twice the usual prize. However, it didn’t give him much luck because he lost his match to Shawn Rice. Too bad for nibbler that his dominating performance ended without a prize, but it’s good news for this weeks winner! The $1,000 will again be carried over making the prize pool for next Sunday’s match $3,000! Who will be playing in it? Let’s take a look!

In last weeks article, the week of May 25th – May 31st showed a new face on the top; johnnybax. He is a top MTT professional, but the race was very tight. He was in the lead, but only by 11 points over 7th place. It was clear it was still anyone’s game, so let’s have a look at the final top 10 winner’s for May 25 – May 31 (to see the complete top 50, click on the June 4th Archive):

1 mross01 330.34 – $3,000 Heads-Up Match
2 jas0042 324.32 – $100 TC
3 krej 304.59 – $100 TC
4 punko 273.74 – $100 TC
5 aisixer3jk 254.63 – $100 TC
6 blunttman4200 241.18 – $100 TC
7 bb77 230.28 – $100 TC
8 LURPED 217.87 – $100 TC
9 muckthenuts 209.79 – $100 TC
10 gus_welly 205.26 – $100 TC

Well, we see that Mr. Johnny Bax couldn’t hold on and just missed the top 10, finishing in 11th with 200.89 points. It was another low scoring week, as the eventual winner, mross01 only ended up having 330.34 points. Compare this to last week when nibbler won as he did it with style; 651.66 points! The winner mross01 was in 12th place with 107 points in my last week’s article, but he put it together and came up with 223 more points! It was about time for him also, because if you remember back to my May 21st article, mross01 finished 2nd to scottyclark by just 14 points. Congratulations to mross01 who is scheduled to play Mark “P0ker H0″ Kroon this Sunday for $3,000! UB Pros are on a roll right now, let’s see if mross01 can stop them!

Some other notable winners this week are; jas0042, who made the top 10 for the second week in a row. Our pal krej was also back, this time taking 3rd, which is his fourth straight appearance in the top 10! Very impressive. Blunttman4200 placed second last week, and followed it up this week with a 6th place finish. There sure are a lot of consistent players on Ultimate Bet!

Now moving to a new week, which ranges from June 1 – June 7, there is a mix of players we know all too well, and some new top 10 faces (to view the complete top 50, check out the June 5th Archive):

1 EddyTown21 205.98
2 royalkc 204.61
3 mattpat 187.17
4 punko 172.14
5 gandalf80 169.59
6 scottyclark 162.05
7 airman111 160.04
8 Sumar007 147.23
9 gray99 146.69
10 shipitmuppet 144.28

There’s our man, scottyclark, sitting in 6th place with 162 points. However, he has some work to do as he is still over 40 points behind the current leader, EddyTown21. This is the first time I have seen EddyTown21 on the UB TLB, so it is pretty nice to debut in 1st place! In 10th place sits shipitmuppet who is no stranger to the top 10 himself. In 4th sits punko, 30 points from the lead, who just had a top 10 finish last week. The rest are pretty unknown and haven’t had many top 10 appearances. All pressure is on EddyTown21, let’s see if he can hold onto his lead!

Well that covers the Ultimate Bet Leaderboards for June 4th, make sure to check back next Wednesday to see if mross01 was successful in his $3,000 heads up match and if EddyTown21 can hang on! Also, if you can’t wait and want to follow the action, check out the Ultimate-Bet Network page where you can find daily updated results under Poker Leaderboards.

It is Wednesday May 28th, and another champion was crowned in the weekly Ultimate Bet MTT leaderboards. Every week, Ultimate Bet awards its players with tournament credits and the chance to play heads up with a UB pro for $1,000 or more! For complete details of how and what you can win every week, see the first post of the UB Leaderboard by clicking here.

I have to start this weeks article with a little correction, or clarification. If you recall in last week’s article, scottyclark came from behind to edge out mross01 by 14 points, and capture his 2nd UB TLB win in 5 weeks. However, that isn’t entirely true. Yes he did win the week with 421.79 points, but this was his 3rd win the past 5 weeks; and 2nd win in a row! As I explained in the May 17th article, the weeks of May 7th and 14th were missed because of a technical problem. Well, I found out that during this time (the week of May 4 – May 10) scottyclark was again the top dog at UB! And if you remember, the first week of April he finished in 2nd place. So that means in the past 2 months, he has finished 1st three times, and 2nd once; how sick is this guy!

So did he win the money? Well, his match on May 11th was against UB pro Gary “debo34″ DeBernardi and $1,000 was on the line. Is it possible for scottyclark to lose? Of course not. Scottyclark did just as I expected, and took out debo34 in a mere 12 minutes, and pocketed himself another $1,000 TLB win. Then just 7 days later, there scottyclark sat again for another $1,000 heads up match – this time against UB pro Mark “P0ker H0″ Kroon. Scottyclark had been on a huge rush and the UB pros in a bit of a rut, but the tides had to turn sometime. Scottyclark felt his first defeat in the TLB heads up match, when P0ker H0 eliminated him in 14 minutes. However, don’t feel too bad for him, because he has gone heads up 3 times in the last 6 weeks, pocketing $4,000! Next week the prize pool will be $2,000 as the $1,000 prize will be carried over. Who will play the next UB pro? Let’s find out.

When we last left off, nibbler was at the top with 154.73 points, but it was a tight race as there was only 9 points separating 1st and 6th place. It was clear that even though nibbler was in 1st place, he would have to play well for the remainder of the week to keep his chances at a UB pro alive. Well, as the May 18th – 24th week came to an end, nibbler did just that (below is the top 10, and you can find the top 50 places in the May 27th Archive):

1 nibbler 651.66 – $1,000 Heads-Up Match
2 blunttman4200 349.98 – $100 TC
3 krej 288.2 – $100 TC
4 snatchitall 287.24 – $100 TC
5 blazemunkey 268.92 – $100 TC
6 brsavage 254.15 – $100 TC
7 EZPickens 253.16 – $100 TC
8 danxxx1 240.34 – $100 TC
9 jas0042 227.89 – $100 TC
10 jfs888888 217.44 – $100 TC

As you can see, nibbler did more than just maintain his lead, he crushed the field! He finished with an amazing 651.66 points, which was 302 points over second place, blunttman4200. We had yet to see such a dominating performance as no one was even close to touching nibbler. Blunttman4200 wasn’t even in the top 50 last week, but managed to end up in 2nd place. Some notables players were krej is 3rd, who always seems to consistently make the top 10, but has never captured a win. Also, blazemunkey, and jas0042 were able to keep themselves on the top 10 from the last article and earn themselves $100 in tournament credits. Out hero scottyclark ended up in 13th place with 208.25 points, but I can bet he will be back. Congratulations to nibbler, who won himself a chance to play for $2,000 on June 1st! Check back to see which UB pro he will playing against.

As we start the last week in May, which ranges from May 25th – May 31st, it is still early, but some popular names can be found (to see the complete top 50, click on the May 28th archive):

1 johnnybax 155.71
2 aisixer3jk 154.50
3 ohhenry83 153.70
4 thebigguy08 149.39
5 jas0042 148.79
6 punko 145.79
7 Duffman08 144.60
8 Wild Duck 138.74
9 jonesy131 124.74
10 mattpat 115.64

At the top sits well known and feared professional player, Cliff “JohnnyBax” Josephy. This is the first time we have seen him in the top 10, and judging by his results, I’m guessing it won’t be the last. JohnnyBax has won many large online MTTs, and even has a WSOP bracelet in Stud! Some other names that are familiar are jas0042 who won $100 last week for his 9th place finish. Also, scottyclark just missed the top 10 by .54 points, and sits in 11th place with 115.10. With 4 more days left to go, anyone can still win. Check back next week to see if JohnnyBax can hold on to his lead, which is only 11 points above 7th place.

Next Wednesday I will announce if nibbler was able to win his $2,000 heads up match, so make sure you come back next Wednesday! Also, if you can’t wait and want to follow the action, check out the Ultimate-Bet Network page where you can find daily updated results under Poker Leaderboards.

Another week has come and gone, and there is a new face to sit atop of the Ultimate Bet leaderboard; or perhaps it’s someone we’ve already seen before? Every week, Ultimate Bet awards its players with tournament credits and the chance to play heads up with a UB pro for $1,000 or more! For complete details of how and what you can win every week, see the first post of the UB Leaderboard by clicking here.

When we had last left off, we showed that GINO_THE_ELK had a slight lead over the rest of the pack with 296 points. However, all eyes were on the dominant scottyclark, who is no stranger to being on the UB leaderboard. Just one month ago, scottyclark beat out the rest of the competition and took down UB pro Shawn Rice for $3,000! He sat in 2nd place with 276 points, and only 20 points from the lead. It’s obvious he is a seasoned professional, as he has appeared in the top 10 more times than anyone else and is very consistent in his play. But now the question, could he take over the lead?

Well, when the week wrapped up, it was clear scottyclark wanted to go for 1st place again! Here were the final top 10 for the week (you can view up 50 places by viewing the UB Leaderboard May 19th Archive):

1 scottyclark 421.79 – $1,000 Heads-Up Match
2 mross01 407.51 – $100 TC
3 SGTSTEDANKOWV 388.71 – $100 TC
4 TABMD 331.01 – $100 TC
5 GINO_THE_ELK 301.27 – $100 TC
6 krej 255.69 – $100 TC
7 ENIGMA4U4ME 217.55 – $100 TC
8 bottsky 217.05 – $100 TC
9 bb77 214.30 – $100 TC
10 upayformynugs 205.28 – $100 TC

Well I’m not surprised that scottyclark got himself another TLB win, but wow! He earned himself an extra 145 points, which was enough to take first place over mross01 by only 14 points. Scottyclark is obviously a machine, as this is his second UB TLB win in the last month! He is scheduled to play UB pro Mark “P0ker H0″ Kroon for $1,000 – and scottyclark doesn’t like to lose these matches! I’d put my money on scottyclark, but anything can happen and I’ll report details on this heads up match next week.

As for the rest of the pack, places 2 – 10 earned themselves $100 in tournament credits. Too bad for GINO_THE_ELK, as he could only earn 6 more points and fell to 5th place. Other players such as krej also dropped 1 position as he only netted one more point since my last post. The leaderboard didn’t change too much in the last couple days, but ENIGMA4U4ME, bottsky, bb77, and upayformynugs were able to just squeeze on the board and earn themselves $100. Congratulations to everyone and especially scottyclark!

As we move into a new week, we see a lot of new faces in the top 10 (as always, you can view up to 50 places in the May 21 Archive):

1 nibbler 154.73
2 psmoney 152.59
3 pubic heir 149.92
4 blizair 148.38
5 Duffman08 147.08
6 krej 145.08
7 jas0042 137.95
8 blazemunkey 135.93
9 count44 127.28
10 dry_benefit 111.08

Currently at the top sits nibbler, who has appeared on the top 10 before but never in first place. Second through fifth are all making their debut on the leaderboards, and in sixth sits kerj, who had been in the top 10 all last week. It’s still early and it is a very close race, there’s only 9 points separating 1st and 6th place!

Be sure to check back next Wednesday to see if scottyclark can do it again and take down another UB pro, and see if nibbler can hold on!

A lot has happened since my last UB Leaderboard article on April 23rd. Due to some technical difficulties, I was unable to post any results for the past two weeks. However, I will try to bring everything back up to speed and start resuming the article regularly, every Wednesday!

I’m back to continue documenting who is king of the Ultimate Bet weekly tournament leaderboard! Every week, Ultimate Bet awards its players with tournament credits and the chance to play heads up with a UB pro for $1,000 or more! For complete details of how and what you can win every week, see the first post of the UB Leaderboard by clicking here.

When we last left off, we had announced that dipthr0ng was the winner of last weeks leaderboard with a record 682.28 points. He cleared second place position (who was shipitmuppet) by 75 points and clearly ran better than anyone else that week. You can check for yourself any day of his dominating week by navigating to the FTR UB-Network Page. Scroll down to the Excapsa Software Poker Leaderboards and you can view any archived day to see the top 50 players! Getting back to dipthr0ng, he was scheduled to play UB pro Mark “P0ker H0″ Kroon on Aprl 27th for $1,000. If you recall, the week prior scottyclark was victorious over UB Pro Shawn Rice, so could dipthr0ng keep the momentum going for the players? You bet! The match lasted just 14 minutes and dipthr0ng was able to keep the streak going for the players, and pocketing $1000! Congratulations to him!

Moving along to the current week, we see some old familiar friends, with some new faces as well. You can see the complete top 50 places for this week by visiting the May 17th Archive page, but here is the current top 10:

1 GINO_THE_ELK 295.89
2 scottyclark 275.94
3 mross01 274.76
4 SGTSTEDANKOWV 261.02
5 krej 254.65
6 TABMD 246.04
7 pstarsstevie 183.44
8 Moxie_Man 168.02
9 chase edward 164.15
10 Cooler King 162.23

GINO_THE_ELK is a newcomer to the list and is currently in the lead. However, if you look at second place we see scottyclark again. If you remember back to April 16th, scottyclark won the UB leaderboard for that week. He then went on to defeat Shawn Rice heads up, and pocketed $3,000! It is obvious that you can never count out scottyclark, as he has been in the top 10 of the leaderboard 18 times out of the last month; quite the feat! In 5th place we see krej, who is no stranger to the top 10 but is still winless. At the start of the week, GINO_THE_ELK could be found all the way near the bottom in 40th place, but has since worked his way to sit atop. Can he hold on, or will scottyclark be able to win 2 leaderboards in one months time? Check back to find out!

Once again, sorry about the 2 week delay in getting these leaderboard up. We missed 2 weeks of data to document, but from now on you will be getting an article every Wednesday. Check back to see if the current leaders can hold on!

The weekly action continues at Ultimate Bet, see who is on top of the board this week! Ultimate Bet awards their tournament players each week, keeping track of how well you play. Depending on the tournament, buyin, and other factors you earn points for every in the money finish in UB MTTs. Run well, play well, and you could top the board! For complete details of what you can win every week, see the first post of the UB Leaderboard by clicking here.

If you want to check out for yourself who is leading on the leaderboards, you can check out FTR’s UB-Network Page. By navigating down to the Excapsa Software Poker Leaderboards section, you will be able to see the past and present leaders for every single week at Ultimate Bet. You can even navigate through every single day to see when your favorite player (or maybe even you) takes the lead.

When we left off last week, we announced that scottyclark was the last weekly winner with 455.70 points. He was scheduled to take on UB pro Shawn Rice heads up for $3,000 on April 20th. Usually the prize pool for this special match is $1,000, but the UB pros have been on fire lately winning the last 3 matches, and when the UB pro wins the $1,000 is rolled over. Well, scottyclark was obviously on a mission as he smoked Shawn Rice in just 14 minutes ending the loss for the Ultimate Bet players and earning himself $3,000! Congratulations to scottyclark!

As we move along to the new winners, let’s recap what the top 10 leaderboard looked liked in last weeks articles. You can view up to the top 50 by viewing the FTR April 16th Archive, which shows the start of the third week in April. There were no familiar faces among the players, and nhjob was on top with 232.32 points. Could this newcomer hold on and become the next weekly winner? Well, and the end of the week, here is what the top 10 displayed (you can view up to the top 50 by checking the FTR April 22nd Archive):

1 dipthr0ng 682.28
2 shipitmuppet 607.94
3 jfs888888 437.92
4 shawnfrie 365.57
5 gaman0n 348.59
6 papaGEORGIOOO 335.69
7 MaciekMajka 321.88
8 scottman90 303.14
9 A__Webb 274.21
10 Beaver Fever 263.99

Unfortunately for nhjob, he had a good start to the week but a bad finish. Overall he took 12th place with a total of 257 points. He was in the lead for only one day, where he was passed by dipthr0ng. Once dipthr0ng took over the lead, he never looked back. He was on top of the UB leaderboard since the 2nd day, adding to his impressive point total with each day. He finally ended with 682 points, the most documented so far at FTR. Second place finisher shipitmuppet had a nice run, and has been in the top 10 for 14 of the last 30 days – a great feat!

2nd – 10th places were all awarded $100 tournament credits, but all eyes are on dipthr0ng who will have his chance to go head to head with UB pro Mark “P0ker H0″ Kroon on April 27th for $1,000! Hopefully he can keep the streak for the players going, with the scottyclark win last week. Congratulations to dipthr0ng and the rest of the top 10!

Moving along, the Ultimate Bet leaderboard continues as the point totals are reset each week. If you check out the April 23rd Archive you can check out the current top 50 for the fourth week in April, and here is what the top 10 looks like:

1 krej 242.71
2 meeelosh 230.43
3 p0ker h0 201.97
4 shipitmuppet 186.06
5 donkalicious4 181.27
6 happysmilingj 178.34
7 thebubble1 158.86
8 jurollo 149.55
9 jfs888888 148.63
10 bettertanu22 134.57

There are some new names, but some well known names as well. UB player krej is at the top of the list with 242 points and this is his first top 10 appearance. As we saw last week, just because you start off good early doesn’t mean you will finish strong, let’s see if the same will be said about newcomer krej. Also on the board we see UB Pro Mark Kroon (p0ker h0) sitting in 3rd place. In 4th shipitmuppet sits with 186 points, and is no stranger to the top 10. As mentioned earlier, he has appear in the top 10 14 times this month and finished runner up last week!

With the pressure being on, we will see who can keep their spots and who start to shine on the UB leaderboard. Make sure to check back next Wednesday to see if dipthr0ng takes the $1,000 prize on Sunday and if newcomer krej can hold on to his early lead on the Ultimate Bet Leaderboard!

The donkaments at Ultimate Bet are growing every month! By playing the multi-table tournaments at Ultimate Bet, you can earn your spot on the UB Leaderboard! For complete details of what you can win every week, see the first post of the UB Leaderboard by courtiebee by clicking here.

If you want to check out for yourself who is leading on the leaderboards, you can check out FTR’s UB network page by clicking here. By navigating down to the Excapsa Software Poker Leaderboards section, you will be able to see the past and present leaders for every single at at Ultimate Bet. You can look through any single day to see when the players topped each other. It is usually right down to the wire every single week and one tournament could make the difference in thousands of dollars! As UB’s leaderboards are usually a couple days behind on their site, one week goes from Wednesday – Tuesday on the FTR archives.

Well, we are now in the third week of April and before we check out who is currently at the top, let’s have a look at last two weeks top 10 winners! You can view the entire 50 player list by checking out the April 8th Archive:

1 foolishgolf 678.25
2 scottyclark 629.74
3 spades27 445.28
4 CrazySixeS66 273.99
5 zestfulyclean 271.92
6 jsjh94 263.85
7 NeddyFlanders 261.32
8 sweetjj 251.93
9 KzooHustlin 250.56
10 busto_soon 230.13

Looking back throughout the week, we see that foolishgolf got started off good but finished even better. He was in the top 3 for most of the week, where he finally passed scottyclark and spades27 near the end. This was very clutch as it looked like spades27 was the clear favorite leading almost every day. 4 days into the leaderboard race, spades27 had a big lead with 445 points while foolishgolf was sitting in third with 256. Unfortunately for spades27, he couldn’t get anything going for him and ended the week with the same total whereas foolishgolf gained over 400 points in the last 3 days. Another player worth pointing out is FTR member busto_soon who managed to squeeze his way onto the top 10 for the week while he was hovering around 15th all week.

If you recall from the first post, you don’t just get pride for making the leaderboard; you win cash! 2nd – 10th place all took home $100 tournament credits for their favorite tournaments, but foolishgolf had a chance to win even more. He won the chance to play a UB pro for a minimum of $1,000! Each week, if the pro wins, the $1,000 is carried over to next weeks prize pool.

This week, foolishgolf drew the UB pro Gary “debo34″ DeBernardi for the chance at $1,000. The match lasted around 40 minutes and was back in forth, but in the end Ultimate Bet was king. Unfortunately for foolishgolf, his week atop of the leaderboard was nothing but an experience now as he has no money to show for it! We will see who will be victorious next week and if their victory will yield them some cash!

The second week of April had a lot of action as well. If you check out the April 15th Archive, you will see the final top 50 placements on the Ultimate Bet Leaderboard. In the spotlight, here are the top 10 winners for the second week of April:

1 scottyclark 455.70
2 mitchman1114 369.57
3 bukithepro 306.05
4 jpstation 284.87
5 maniac1 283.05
6 blunttman4200 277.32
7 debo34 274.09
8 freak173 239.91
9 negativeROI 238.59
10 alomar2 227.51

In great fashion, scottyclark has his revenge from last week! Last week, he finished 2nd behind foolishgolf by only 50 points and this time had a great week to finally earn his spot on top of the UB leaderboards. He is also the only person to appear on back to back leaderboards for this week, so this is quite the achievement. UB pro debo34 finished in a respectable 7th place. As always, 2nd – 10th all won $100 and scottyclark has drawn his UB pro for this match this weekend. He will taking on Shawn Rice, who is a successful live tournament player and Ultimate Bet Professional on April 20th. Let’s see if he can avenge foolishgolf’s loss or if the UB pros will continue to dominate. The current prize pool for TLB heads up match is $3,000 as the UB pros have won the last 3 matches; added pressure for scottyclark to break the streak. Even if he doesn’t win, it is still an amazing feat taking 2nd then 1st in back to back weeks so congratulations to scottyclark!

If you check out the current leaderboard stats on the April 16th Archive, we see absolutely no familiar faces! The link will show you the current top 50 and here are the current top 10:

1 nhjob 232.32
2 jfs888888 228.79
3 dipthr0ng 212.29
4 fame722 202.67
5 papaGEORGIOOO 192.75
6 shipitmuppet 185.04
7 dwcub31 184.02
8 saigon rock 164.90
9 whatarunaa 161.24
10 SGTSTEDANKOWV 158.42

We will have to see if foolishgolf or scottyclark can make a comeback for some revenge, but for now nhjob is king. As it is still early, you never know if any of these players will still be in the top 10 when the week ends. So make sure you check back next Wednesday to see if scottyclark ended up taking home the prize and for the results of the current week on the Ultimate Bet Leaderboard!
