Two stars already confirmed for the event are Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, who are both known for their poker and acting prowess. They will be joined by several yet to be announced stars in the 60 player charity tournament. It doesn’t just end with a chance to play with the rich and famous however, as the first place finisher in the charity tournament will win a $250,000 beach house in Durban, South Africa. The winner of the seat from the 888.com freeroll tournament (plus a guest) will also stay three nights at the Palme d’Or five star hotel in Cannes. Furthermore, proceeds from the event will be going towards two great charity organizations, ‘Not on Our Watch’ and ‘One Voice for Freedom.’

The best part of the whole deal is that any player from 888.com has the chance to win this amazing prize. To gain entry into the May 9th freeroll tournament qualifier, all you have to do is earn 1200 player points on 888.com between March 1st and May 6th. All players who do this will automatically be eligible for entry into the freeroll tournament where the winner will receive the grand prize. For those who don’t manage to earn the points required, there is also a $150 + $10 satellite tournament offered on May 7th. The three top finishers will receive entry into the freeroll qualifier as well.

So sign up at 888.com and start playing now. Soon enough you could be sitting in Cannes taking chips from Matt Damon. Or, if you are really good, you could be sitting at your brand new beach house in South Africa.

A lot has changed atop the PokerStars monthly tournament leaderboard over the last week, as many of the top ten contenders have fallen out of site. Last week’s leader ace_cider fell all the way back to 48th place this week, being replace at the top by grebnrets86, who had a 4000+ chip week. One of the few people to keep pace this week was pino1234 who remains in second place just 500 chips away from the leader.

Four more newcomers to the leaderboard this week are 00psiedaisy, ramondemon77, jkelsey, and eidur888. None of these players were even in the top 100 just seven days ago, however with great weeks of play from all four, they now are sitting in the third to sixth place spots respectively.

In seventh place this week is swooshdog4 who fell three places from a fourth place perch last week. Being just over 650 points behind grebnret86 in first place however means a great week could have swooshdog4 in any of the higher spots on the ladder. Directly behind swooshdog4 is Zackattak13, who is obviously looking to make it two in a row after winning the leaderboard competition last month. With an impressive seven day run Zackattak13 could very well overcome the 700 point deficit to reel in the current leader. Moving from the 17th spot last week into the top ten is radfrobot, who now sits in the ninth place spot, just 100 points behind Zackattak13. After landing in the fifth place spot last week, WoodBrave is now clinging onto the last place in the top ten list, just 16 chips away from being knocked down to eleventh place.

With the month of March nearly half over, the real contenders are beginning to emerge, however with twenty days remaining and less than 1000 points separating first and tenth place, anybody could make a big move and dethrone the leader of the week.

The top 10 as of March 10, 2009 looks like this:

1. grebnrets86 - 5599.22 chips
2. pino1234 - 5496.78 chips
3. 00psiedaisy - 5286.25 chips
4. ramondemon77 - 5219.81 chips
5. jkelsey - 5104.93 chips
6. eidur888 - 4938.06 chips
7. swooshdog4 - 4933.80 chips
8. Zackattak13 - 4868.73 chips
9. radfrobot - 4756.60 chips
10. WoodBrave - 4694.02 chips

The trend continued in the first week of March as Patrik Antonius once again dominated the Hold’em tables. Just six days into the month, the Finnish poker pro is already up over half a million dollars. The first huge pot went down between Antonius and Tom Dwan in a heads up match between the two on the first day of the month. Antonius opened up the action with a raise to $3k from the button. Dwan called and checked the 4s 5h 7d flop to Antonius who put out a $5k continuation bet. Dwan then check-raised to $15,200. Antonius came back over the top, pushing it up to $51,600. Dwan would raise it up one more time and would be all in, turning over pocket eights after Antonius called. Antonius flipped over 7c 6s and would be behind, needing to catch a three, seven, or eight to overtake Dwan. The turn came the 3c which made Antonius his straight, leaving Dwan to draw to the three remaining sixes in the deck to make a higher straight on the river. The 9d was no savior for Dwan though and Antonius would take down the $183,798 with his seven high straight.

Later in the day, Antonius would sit down with Ziigmund and the pots would get even bigger. Antonius would again open up the action with a $3k raise from the button, but this time Ziigmund would repop it up to $9k from the big blind. Antonius called the reraise and the flop came 4c 6d 2d. Ziigmund led out with a $15k bet. Antonius reraised to $63k behind him. Not content with that, Ziigmund moved all in which raised the bet to just under $98k. Antonius would call and show 5h As which was way behind Ziigmund’s Kh Ks. Antonius needed to catch an ace or a three to make a better hand and win the $214k pot. The turn paired the board with the 4h which didn’t change anything and the river brought the 9s. Antonius wouldn’t improve, leaving Ziigmund to rake in the $213,999 from the middle of the table with two pair.

The next day some three way Finnish poker action between Antonius, Ziigmund, and LarsLuzak would net Antonius some more money. LarsLuzak raised from the button to $3,500 which Antonius called from the small blind. The flop came Kd Td Ks and Antonius checked to the preflop raiser who put out a $6,000 continuation bet. Antonius called behind and the turn brought the 9h, leading him to check again. LarsLuzak once again led the hand with a $17k bet, however this time Antonius repopped it to $71,000. LarsLuzak would push all in, raising it slightly more than $4k. Antonius would make the final call to go to a showdown. LarsLuzak turned over Qc Jh for a king high straight, while Antonius showed 7d 8d and would need to catch a diamond on the river to suck out and win the hand. The river did indeed rescue Antonius with the Jd and he would take down $170,989 from the pot with a flush.

Ziigmund would again lead out, this time for $54,000. Antonius reraised this time, which would put Ziigmund all in. Ziigmund called $18.5k more and turned over As Kd for ace high which was already dead to Antonius’ 7c Jc. The river gave Ziigmund a pair of aces, however it wouldn’t be enough and Antonius’ three of a kind would win him the $199,000 pot.

Antonius closed out the week with a big hand against Phil Ivey on Friday afternoon. Antonius raised from the button to $3,500 to open up the hand and Ivey called from the big blind to see the flop come Ad 9s 6d. Ivey checked it over to Antonius who put out a $5,000 continuation bet. Ivey check-raised it to $16,000. Antonius smooth called to see the Kd come on the turn, which would be followed by a $32,000 bet by Phil Ivey. Antonius would repop Ivey this time though, forcing him to call off the remaining $20,098 in his stack to showdown his cards. Antonius flipped over As Jd for a pair of aces, but Ivey showed Ah 9c for two pair. Antonius was nearly done in the hand until the river brought another king which made a higher two pair and Antonius’ jack kicker was good enough to steal the $143,696 pot from Ivey.

High stakes online regulars Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan got together this afternoon for a show of complete gambling degeneracy, a series of two flips worth $400k each. Both players bought in for the max on Dwan’s very own $500/1000 deep heads up PLO table and proceeded to go all in blind two times in what was definitely the largest ‘flips’ scenario in online poker history.

When all of the money went in the middle the first time, Ivey would have the early lead with 6c 2h Ts Tc. Dwan was behind at the moment but his 7s 8d Td Qd had a lot of potential to flop a big hand. The 4s 3c Ad came on the flop though, which was bad news for Dwan as he would need to catch a queen or runner-runner cards to overcome Ivey. The 9d on the turn would certainly make things interesting, as it added diamond flush draw outs for Dwan. The 2s fell on the river though and Ivey’s tens would be good enough to win him the first of two $400k pots.

They then went for round two and, with Ivey already freerolling the second flip, Dwan would have to be the nervous one this time. Neither player would be far ahead of the other when the cards were turned over. It was Ivey’s 4s Kd 9s Tc up against Dwan’s 7c 8s Qc 9c. The flop however would go Ivey’s way as it came Kh As 5c, giving him a pair of kings. Dwan would again need to get lucky and catch runner-runner cards to win. The Jc on the turn did improve Dwan a bit, as he could hit a ten to make a straight and win, but with one of those tens in Ivey’s hand he would be drawing to three outs. The final card came the 5c which didn’t change anything and Ivey would once again win the flip, ending up $400k on Dwan in just two short hands.

Zackattak13 received $5000 from PokerStars for his victory this month. BruceWizayne managed to bring in almost 1500 chips in the last four days of the month, which shot him from seventh place all the way into the second place position, picking up $3000 in prize money. Bringing in the $2000 third place prize was OLD TIME GIN, who held onto the third place position nearly the entire last half of the month.

With a slow finish to the month, 1$ickDisea$E slid from a second place seat into fourth in the last half of a week, but it would still be good enough to earn him a $1000 prize. Another big mover in the last few days of February was D1rtyR1v3r, who brought in over 1000 chips in the last four days to win the $750 fifth place prize. With an impressive three final tables in the last four days, piloteg came flying from outside the top 100 players to take down sixth place in the leaderboard race, which would be good enough for $500.

After spinning the wheels for the last few weeks of the month, ob_1_cannoli continued to slide and ended in 7th place, which would bring in a $400 prize. THE_ALPACA also continued to slide, eventually ending with a $350 prize for the 8th place finish. Another slow finisher, baneris, ended up in ninth place after starting the month at the top of the leaderboard. The ninth place finish however was still good enough for $300 in prize money. Rounding out the top 10 was Patrolman35 who held steady at that position for the entire last week of the month and earned the $250 tenth place prize.

For the players who finished in 11th-25th place, the prize money would slip to $200. The prize money would slide once again to $150 for all of those players who ended the month in 26th-50th. The players who rounded out the top 100 received $100 for their efforts, while the 101st-200th place players received $50.

Just three days into March, it is ace_cider who is out to an early lead with just under 3500 chips already. Close behind the leader is pino1234, who has already shot up nearly 3400 chips. Rounding out the top three so far is StefanProdan who sits just over 400 chips behind the leader with 3073. Be sure to come back next week to see what the standings look like as the race for March begins to heat up.

The complete top 10 so far for March looks like this:
1. ace_cider - 3499.24 chips
2. pino1234 - 3377.56 chips

Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond was the best on the poker tables this week, picking up nearly $300,000 in winnings over the past seven days. A large amount of the winnings came from multiple battles with Gus Hansen, but Galfond also fleeced a number of the top online players in the world throughout the week.

The first big hand of the week started off with Hansen raising from under the gun to $3,500. Galfond was the only player to call and the flop came Jd Ts 9d. Hansen put out a $6k continuation bet, only to have Galfond repop it to $17.8k behind him. Hansen however would raise again, and with another raise from Galfond the two were be all in. Hansen turned over 7s 8s for a jack high straight, however Galfond showed Qs Kh for a higher straight and would have Hansen nearly finished. The 5s fell on the turn though, giving Hansen a flush draw to take out Galfond’s straight. The river was a heart however, and Galfond’s king high straight would earn him the $121,062 from the pot.

The two would continue to battle it out shortly afterward when Galfond opened the hand with an under the gun raise. The raise would fold out all players except Hansen, who called $1,400 more from the big blind to see the 6h 2d Kh flop. Hansen checked to Galfond who bet out $3,200. Hansen check raised to $9k only to have Galfond put it up to $15.2k. Hansen called the raise from Galfond and the 8s came on the turn. Hansen then led out with a $35,700 bet, leaving Galfond to push the rest of his chips in the middle. Hansen called around $1,000 more and turned over Kc 4c for a pair of kings. Galfond on the other hand showed Td 9s and would need to catch a seven on the river to suck out on Hansen. The river came the Jd though and Hansen’s kings would take down the $109,260 pot.

Just fifteen minutes later, the two would once again contest a pot worth over $100,000. Galfond opened the action with a $2,400 raise from under the gun. Hansen would be the only one to call from the big blind and the flop would come 7c Kd 5d. Hansen checked to Galfond who put out a $3,400 continuation bet. Hansen check raised once again, pushing it up to $9k. Galfond would again come over the top of Hansen’s check raise, making the bet $19,400. Hansen made the call and would bet enough to put Galfond all in when the Qc came on the turn. Galfond made the call for nearly $37k though and turned over Td Ad for a gut shot straight draw and the nut flush draw. Hansen on the other hand showed 2h Kh for a pair of kings and would need to dodge a lot of cards on the river to win. The river came the 2c though and Galfond dumped nearly $60k more to Hansen.

Later on in the night it would be Galfond and Tom Dwan battling it out over another decent sized pot. Galfond opened the pot with a raise to $2,400 from the cutoff and the only caller would be Dwan in the big blind. The flop came 2s 7s Js and Dwan would take the lead with a $3,400 bet. Galfond smooth called behind and the 6d came on the turn. Dwan would continue to lead the hand with an $8,700 bet which Galfond would once again smooth call. The 9h on the river didn’t slow Dwan down, as he bet out $29,500 this time. Galfond would call again and show 9d Jd for two pair, while Dwan only had one pair with his Kh Jh, leaving Galfond to pick up the $88,497 from the pot.

Hansen and Galfond would once again play for a pot worth nearly $100k, only this time they would get all their money in before the flop. When all the money was in, it was a race between Hansen’s Td Tc and Galfond’s Qh Ah. The flop of 8h 2d Jd had Galfond in trouble, but an ace on the turn put Hansen one card away from losing the hand. The river didn’t help anybody and Galfond’s aces would give him the win in the $98,398 pot.

The final big hand of the week would be Galfond’s largest, as he battled over a $160,991 pot with ahtata. The action would start with a raise from good2cu to $3,500 from early position which Galfond called from the button and ahtata called from the big blind. The flop came 2s Jc 3d and the action would check to Galfond who bet out $3,200. ahtata called but good2cu folded and the turn brought the 3c. When the action checked to him once again, Galfond put out a bet of $6,400. ahtata would reraise this time, popping it up to $21,500. Galfond smooth called and the 9s came on the river. ahtata bet out $60,400 and Galfond called the rest of his stack off for a showdown. ahtata showed As 3s for three of a kind. However, Galfond turned over Jd Js for a full house and would end the week on a high note by taking home the $160,991 from the pot.

With just four days left in the month, the PokerStars monthly leaderboard’s top positions could still go either way. With slightly more than 1000 points separating first and tenth place, a big day could still move anybody into a much different position. Not a lot has changed since last week as far as names go, as there is only one that has dropped out of the top ten in the last seven days. DESS66 slipped from ninth place last week to eleventh currently, while Patrolman35 moved up six places and now sits in the last spot of the top ten.

Zackattak13 was the big mover of the week, as he shot from eighth place into the leader position, making him one of the favorite to take home the top prize at the end of the month. Trailing Zackattak13 by just sixty chips however is last week’s leader 1$ickDisea$E, who could still make a move in the last few days and take down the first prize. Holding onto the third place position from last week was OLD TIME GIN, who now sits 300 chips out of first. A big win in the closing days of the month however could easily move OLD TIME GIN up into the first place position.

It was a tough week for last week’s number two player baneris, who after starting the month off on a tear was completely stopped this week, picking up zero chips. He now sits in fourth place, 400 chips out of first. Despite the dead week, baneris is still close enough to pull out an upset at the last minute. Moving into the fifth place spot, from seventh last week, is ob_1_cannoli who may be a long shot for first but still has the chance to move up a few positions and pick up a lot more prize money. Just 200 points back of ob_1_cannoli is THE_ALPACA who has been fading fast after picking up a huge amount of chips from a huge $200k+ win in a major tournament earlier in the month.

BruceWizayne also failed to pick up many points this week, moving up just 10 chips. He slipped from fifth last week back to the seventh seat this week. Also, he is far back of the top five in chips, meaning he will need a strong finish to the month if he wants to move up the standings at all. Even worse news for BruceWizayne is that both df1986 and 1ofaKind420 are both less than forty points behind him. With the scores this close, the last places in the top ten are sure to come down to the last day of the month.

Next week we will wrap up the last days of February and see who can take down the big prizes for the month. Also, we will have coverage of the first few days of March and see who can jump out to a quick lead.

The top ten with just four days left in the month looks like this:

1. Zackattak13 - 6557.83 chips
2. 1$ickDisea$E - 6493.92 chips
3. OLD TIME GIN - 6243.88 chips
4. baneris - 6161.92 chips
5. ob_1_cannoli - 5908.94 chips
6. THE_ALPACA - 5762.96 chips
7. BruceWizayne - 5582.25 chips
8. df1986 - 5569.36 chips
9. 1ofaKind420 - 5546.29 chips
10. Patrolman35 - 5434.43 chips

So far, the matches have been swinging vastly in the direction of Dang. However, yesterday, Hansen finally had the upper hand during the match and managed to pick up a solid win. Throughout the day, the two played many heads up sessions (mostly on Hansen’s own tables) and would contest a large number of impressive pots.

The first big pot of the day occurred in the early morning, right around 5 a.m. Eastern time. Dang raised from the button to $2,000 only to have Hansen repop him to $6,000. Dang called the raise and the flop came 8h 7d 9d. Hansen put out an $8,000 continuation bet, and Dang pushed it up behind him to $17k. Hansen wouldn’t be outdone though, as he raised it up again to $26k. Dang pushed all in over the top, leaving Hansen to call $25k more to show 4c Jc Ts Qc for the nut straight with redraws to a higher straight. Dang on the other hand showed Jd 7h 9s 9c for a set of nines and would need to pair up the board to bust Hansen’s straight. The turn came the 5h which didn’t help Dang out, and the river brought the Qs, leaving Hansen to pick up the $114k pot with his straight.

The two would then take a break but would return in the afternoon for some more heads up action. Dang once again raised to $2k from the button, and Hansen once again reraised to $6k. Dang called and the flop came 7s 6h Kc. Hansen led out with an $8k bet only to have Dang raise it up to $36k behind him. Hansen would then push all in and Dang would call the nearly $10k more for a showdown. Hansen flipped over Ks 5d 9d 8s for a straight wrap and top pair, while Dang had 4c 2s 5h 7h for middle pair and a lower straight wrap. Hansen was way ahead in the hand, but the 2h on the turn would give Dang two pair and Hansen would need to catch a card on the river to be saved. The Td then came on the river and Hansen would make his straight, taking down an impressive $103k pot.

Not to be outdone, Hansen raised once again, pushing it up to $64k which forced Dang to call all in. Hansen turned over Ts Jc 9h Jh for an overpair and gutshot straight draw, while Dang showed 8h Ks 7h 2s for trip eights. The turn came the 2h which gave Dang a boat, and Hansen would need to catch one of the two remaining jacks in the deck to make a higher full house. The river was the 9s though and Dang’s boat would take down the $106k pot.

The final big hand between the two would end the session with a $150k pot. Dang raised from the button to $2k to open the hand and Hansen smooth called from the big blind. The flop came Qc 5d 5s and Hansen checked the action to the preflop raiser. Dang put out a $3k continuation bet, but Hansen would go for a checkraise, pushing it up to $10k. They would both then decide that it was as good of time as any to get the money in, and through a series of raises would do exactly that. With all the money in the middle, Hansen turned over Qd 5h 2d Kd for fives full of queens, while Dang showed 5c Jd Ac 3c and would need to catch an ace to make a higher full house. The turn came the 3h, giving Dang a useless full house, and the river brought the 9d which finished the hand. Hansen’s fives full of queens would be good enough to take the $153,595 from the pot and he would finally end a session way up on Dang.

For the first time this month, a new leader is atop the PokerStars monthly tournament leaderboard. A slow week for baneris resulted in a slide from first to second after holding onto the top position for over two weeks. Meanwhile 1$ickDisea$E picked up nearly 2000 chips over the last seven days to move from fifth place into the leader position. Fueled by a second place finish in a $162 tournament, OLD TIME GIN shot from outside of the top 100 into a comfortable third place seat.

Two more players who came out of nowhere this week were BruceWizayne and df1986. After being out of the top 100 last week, BruceWizayne picked up a ton of chips and now sits in fourth place, just 10 chips out of a top three position. df1986 also came out of nowhere and is now just four chips behind BruceWizayne. Sitting in sixth this week, just 35 points back of fifth, is THE_ALPACA who is riding a high streak after taking down a major tournament for over $200k ten days ago.

Last week’s second place player ob_1_cannoli also had a slow week, slipping all the way back to seventh place. DESS66 logged a much better week, picking up over 1500 chips and moving from 25th to 8th place. 1ofaKind420 picked up a similar amount of chips and also made a move from 28th to 9th place on the leaderboard. Yet another player to come flying from outside the top 100 this week was MickBt23, who is now rounding out the top 10 players with 5175 chips.

The race has become far closer than last week, as baneris looked to be running away with it and is now being sucked in by the others. Less than 100 chips now separate fourth and seventh place, so anybody could make a big move with ten days left in the month. The top ten race will come down to the wire as well, as there is slightly over 1000 chips separating 1$ickDisea$E in first and MickBt23 in tenth. With some big movers this week, nobody’s place is safe and each chip will make a big difference at the end of the month.

The top 10 looks like this with ten days left in February:

1. 1$ickDisea$E - 6185.68 chips
2. baneris - 6161.92 chips
3. OLD TIME GIN - 5583.07 chips
4. BruceWizayne - 5573.15 chips
5. df1986 - 5569.36 chips
6. THE_ALPACA - 5534.22 chips
7. ob_1_cannoli - 5491.50 chips
8. DESS66 - 5344.53 chips
9. 1ofaKind420 - 5318.78 chips
10. MickBt23 - 5175.87 chips

FTOPS XI continued yesterday night with Event #17, the 6-max rebuy and addon tournament. The tournament had a guaranteed prize pool of $1,000,000 and with a great turnout and lots of rebuys, it managed to surpass that by over $175,000. There were 1,091 entrants to the tournament, 27 of which were Full Tilt pros. During the rebuy period and first break, there was a total of 2100 rebuys and 737 addons, which helped push the prize pool past its guarantee.

After one hour of play, just over 200 players had already been eliminated, leaving 868 left to continue the battle. It was paigowpro who jumped out to the early lead, accruing 34k in chips throughout the hour. Following close behind him was well known online tournament pro Jon ‘sketchy1’ Eaton, who was sitting in sixth place with just over 22k chips. Four of the Full Tilt pros sat in the top 100 players after one hour, with Marco Traniello leading the way in 24th place with a 15k chipstack. Not too far behind Marco was Vivek Rajkumar, whose 13k in chips was good enough for 52nd place. Also, TheWacoKidd and SorenKongsgaard were sitting in 79th and 80th place respectively with around 12k in chips after the first hour.

After three hours of play, it was past FTOPS event winner imabigkidnow (winner of FTOPS X Event #14) who was sitting atop the leaderboard with 71k in chips. Two different Full Tilt pros had made a move by this time, as Isaac Baron was holding onto 30th place with 36k in chips, while Jordan Morgan was trailing slightly behind in 33rd with a thousand less. Other notable players hanging near the top at this point in time were stevie444 (currently ranked in the top 200 on Full Tilt and top 100 on PokerStars) and USCPhildo (ranked in the top 200 on PokerStars and 20th on Full Tilt).

Isaac Baron would end up topping all other Full Tilt pro’s in this event, placing in 19th for $6,363. Other Full Tilt pros who made deep runs were Brian Hastings (56th for $2,710) and Jordan Morgan (81st for $2,356). Coming into the final table the stacks looked like this:

Seat 1: mikey34222 (919,026)
Seat 2: fisheater111 (1,037,318)
Seat 3: UFman2 (817,321)
Seat 4: imabigkidnow (2,229,626)
Seat 5: GirlsCantPlay (676,502)
Seat 6: jordankickz (580,707)

The well designed structure gave everybody a decent amount of wiggle room at the table, and with the chip lead, imabigkidnow would have to be the favorite to win this tournament. He has already shown he has what it takes to close out an FTOPS event when he took down Event#14 of FTOPS X. Another big threat would have to be UFman2 who took down the monthly million dollar guarantee tournament on Full Tilt in December for over $200,000.

fisheater111 would be the first to depart after getting all in on the flop with 9 high. UFMan2 made an easy call with AA and would pick up the knock out and bring it down to five players. For the sixth place finish, fisheater111 would pick up just over $40,000.

The bigger stacks would continue to knock the smaller ones around, as next it would be GirlsCantPlay to get Ad4d in preflop against imabigkidnow’s 8s9s. The flop would come with an 8 and a 9 and GirlsCantPlay wouldn’t be able to catch up, exiting the tournament in fifth place for $62,455.

Once again, it would be UFman2’s AK that had mikey34222’s AT dominated. With an ace and a jack on the flop, and a king on the turn, mikey would need to catch a queen on the river to double up through UFman2. Unfortunately it came a ten and mikey34222 would go out in fourth place, taking home a little over $87k.

Play was just three-handed now, and jordankickz would put it all on the line with 22 against UFman2’s AQ. Sadly for jordankickz, the flop came JQK and UFMan2 would be far in the lead. An ace on the turn had jordankickz just one card away from elimination, but a ten came on the river which made a straight on the board and both players would split the nearly two million chip pot. jordankickz would once again risk it all, but this time it would be against imabigkidnow. After the stacks were put in preflop it would be imabigkidnow’s AJ that had jordankickz’s ATs dominated. The flop came 7KQ and imabigkidnow remained in the lead. A nine and a jack on the turn and river however would complete a huge suckout for jordankickz, as he made a straight and crippled imabigkidnow. After that hand, imabigkidnow would get disconnected and end up being blinded down to nothing over the next couple hands. Eventually he would be knocked out in third place and receive $116,661.

The heads up match to decide the winner was a back and forth battle, but as the tournament neared the 12 hour mark, it all would be decided on a coin flip. Both players would get all the chips in the middle preflop and it would be jordankickz’s AQs against UFman2’s JJ. The cards wouldn’t fall jordankickz’s way this time though as he wouldn’t be able to catch a pair, making UFman2 the champion of Event #17. For his second place performance, jordankickz collected just over $160k. To go along with his gold jersey, UFman2 would receive $245,696.40.

Full Tilt Poker FTOPS XI Event #17 $1,000,000 Guaranteed 6-max Rebuy
1091 entrants, 2100 rebuys, 737 addons, $1,178,400 prize pool
1. UFman2 - $245,696.40
2. jordankickz - $163,797.60
3. imabigkidnow - $116,661.60
4. mikey34222 - $87,201.60
5. GirlsCantPlay - $62,455.20
6. fisheater111 - $40,065.60
