Posted on 2 November 2009 at 11:19 am EST by bigspenda73 | Permalink

The first day of November proved to be quite a big day for online poker tournaments. Posted on 26 October 2009 at 5:16 am EDT by bigspenda73 | Permalink

Another Sunday, another huge day of major online poker tournaments. Both PokerStars and FullTilt manged some big days today, as every single major easily eclipsed their guarantees. The recent “upswing” in entries is a welcome sign after quite a lull following the FTOPS and WCOOP series.
The day began with the Sunday Warm-Up on [continue]

Sunday Tournament Report 10/18/2009

Posted on 19 October 2009 at 12:34 pm EDT by bigspenda73 | Permalink

Another Sunday, another huge day of tournaments on PokerStars and FullTilt. Both sites had successful days, as every tournament was able to reach its guarantee, a great sign for the future. FTR would be remiss not to mention a smaller event, won by former FTR writer, David “Dthorne04″ Thorne, for a few pennies shy [continue]

Sunday Tournament Report 10/11/2009

Posted on 12 October 2009 at 8:50 am EDT by bigspenda73 | Permalink

Another solid Sunday of tournament action is in the books. Attempting to make up for a sub-par Sunday last week, PokerStars was in full swing as the majority of their major events easily eclipsed their respective guarantees. The Sunday Million continued its struggles, as the tournament fell 136 entries short of making $1,500,000.

Sunday Tournament Report 10/04/2009

Posted on 5 October 2009 at 9:02 am EDT by bigspenda73 | Permalink

Online tournaments took a bit of a hit yesterday, as a bunch of the major events failed to hit their guarantee.  Coming off of two Major series (FTOPS and WCOOP) FullTilt and PokerStars had to be hoping for a better showing in October.  Perhaps the start of the NFL season is keeping players glued to [continue]

Sunday Tournament Report 9/27/2009

Fresh off an extremely successful 2009 WCOOP campaign, PokerStars was looking to see some big improvements in their Sunday majors. Well, while all of the tournaments managed to reach their guarantees, there wasn’t quite the same boost that FullTilt received from last month’s FTOPS. Either way PokerStars still remains the predominant site for [continue]
