BEATS: Bet24 Poker sadly doesn't accept players from inside the United States. While the downloadable client is top-notch, the actual Bet24 website is in need of some renovation and can be awkward to use.

Bet24 Overview
Bet24 first started way back in 2001, and over the past nine years has become one of the world's best online casinos, sportsbooks and, of course, online poker rooms. These days the site is owned by the largest TV operator in Scandinavia and the Baltics, and fuses coverage of major tournaments and activities with betting. Over the last four years bet24 has been offering an excellent online poker service, and this level of experience shines through in their customer support and other dealings.
When 2006 rolled around, Bet24 signed up with the Ongame Poker Network, which itself boasts over ten years of service in the industry. Often trading places with the Party Network for third in overall traffic rankings, Ongame is a leading network which provides strong software and an excellent service. Sadly the network does not accept players from within the United States at this time, but their poker room software package offers support for an awesome variety of languages and runs both on Windows and Mac, allowing the maximum number of users possible to play poker on the network.
Bet24 Poker offers an awesome variety of games, so if you sometimes enjoy straying from the beaten path in terms of poker variants, then it's a solid poker room for you. As well as the normal variations of Texas Hold'Em and Omaha, they also offer Stud games and even Draw games, which are decently populated for a poker room of Bet24's size. While the No Limit Hold'Em games don't spread as high as on some other sites, this forces the players down levels and tends to mean that the micro, small and mid-stakes are well populated.
In addition to these ring games, Bet24 Poker also boasts an awesome array of tournaments. There are Sit & Go tournaments running at almost all stakes, meaning that you should have no problem literally sitting and started playing cards. In addition to these they host larger Multi-Table tournaments with big fields, and some regularly scheduled big guarantees. The guarantees are surprisingly large relative to the size of players on the network, which is of course fantastic news if you're a tournament player looking to make the move to Bet24 Poker.
Club24 is Bet24's own tailored VIP Club, a system designed to reward loyal players. As you play in real money ring games and tournaments you'll automatically earn Player Points. Unlike some poker rooms where these can only be used to buy over-priced merchandise or other tack, Bet24 allows you to turn these points directly into cash. The more you collect the higher the value the points are, meaning that if you put in a lot of volume then you will be very suitably rewarded for your loyalty.
Bet24.com Software Interface/Usability
When we first came across the Bet24 website we were a little bit concerned, as it's poorly designed and nothing much to look at. However, as a member of the Ongame Network, the downloadable client offered by Bet24 Poker is a skin of the Ongame software, which is in stark contrast to the Bet24 website in that it is both a pleasure to use and very easy on the eyes.
The software client is downloadable for both Mac and Windows, and is available in a wide variety of languages, so almost everybody should be able to enjoy what it has to offer. When you're first greeted with the Bet24 lobby, it will probably be in Quick Seat mode, which is a sleek interface where players must simply choose their preferred game type, stakes and number of players and they will be instantly seated at a table which meets these specifications. The lobby is a great mix of grays and deep green, and seems to fit right in whether you're running it on Mac or Windows.
If you want more control over the tables that you're going to sit at, then you're covered there too. The main lobby view works in a similar fashion to a lot of other poker rooms, with a list of tables and a set of tabs at the top of the window for filtering that list down to just the tables you want based on game type, stakes and numerous other factors. One of the really cool innovations found in the software, however, is that when you click on a particular table name, rather than just being displayed a list of players there is a small graphical representation of who is sitting where, including open seats. These open seats can be clicked on at which point the actual table will open up and you will be instantly sat down at the position you chose from the lobby, rather than having to muck opening the table only to see that there are no good seats left anyway.
Once you're at the table it's more of the same green and gray, and it looks great here too. The tables function perfectly, with various options for posting blinds, an instant hand history replayer, options for multitabling, and all tables are fully resizable. While these are features that we're these days seeing at a lot of the major poker rooms, it's not so much the features themselves that impress us with Bet24's tables but rather how well they're implemented. Everything works smoothly and intuitively, and the level of polish and work that has gone in is clearly evident, and appreciated.
With many of the bigger networks offering skins that all their member sites must use, we're starting to see a lot of very generic, very boring poker rooms only set aside by the garish colors that they choose. Bet24 does indeed use the Ongame software, but this software is such a well put-together package that we're more than happy to recommend it, and are especially pleased to see the effort gone in to supporting multiple languages and operating systems.
Bet24 Poker Room Action
In the poker world we seem to have more or less adapted Eastern US time as a standard, for whatever reason. However as the Ongame network and by extension Bet24 does not accept players from the United States, prime time on Bet24 is definitely more synced up with european timezones. As such, the most action can be found in the evenings of CET.
No Limit ring games don't spread as high as on the major sites, but frankly we find that smaller networks that try to cater to the high stakes crowd end up spreading their player base very thin, so this move is a good one and promotes a decent amount of action at lower stakes. They also have a surprising number of players on their stud and draw tables, which is nice for a site of their size.
If you're looking to play Sit & Go tournaments, then Bet24 Poker is definitely a solid choice. They don't seem to have trouble finding players to sit at most stakes, and so games start fairly quickly after registering. Of course the more players there are the more likely there are to be players who give a lot of action, so SNG players should be pretty content here.
Bet24 Ease of Game, Ease of Money Making, and Fish Rating
The Ongame Network moves up and down between third and fourth place in the rankings for overall poker traffic. While they don't accept payers from the United States, Bet24's downloadable client works on Mac and Windows, and offers support in various languages, meaning that they have a very solid player base.
With the decent number of players comes naturally a decent number of fish. If you're a tournament player then Bet24 is going to be a great site for you, as in addition to the large guaranteed tournaments, tournament players on Ongame have a reputation for being pretty awful.
Bet24 Bonus Codes and Promotions
Many poker rooms on the internet these days offer various promotions both for rewarding loyal players and for attracting new ones. Among these promotions the welcome bonus is probably the most common, and Bet24 also offers such a thing. When you sign up using any of the four bonus codes found below you will earn a substantial deposit bonus.
The biggest bonus of the bonus is a 100% up to $2,000 initial deposit bonus activated by using the FLOP2000 Sign-Up code. Players only have 29 days to clear this bonus in its entirety which makes it quite unreasonable for most. The same can be said for the FLOP1000 bonus which is a $1,000 deposit bonus which gives players 72 days to clear. Much like the $2,000 bonus you must clear the entire bonus before receiving funds. One of the best bonuses offered by Bet24 is their FLOP400 bonus which pays out in $20 increments and gives players 78 days to clear as much as they can. Finally, the FLOP250 bonus clears in $5 increments and gives players 90 days to clear as much of the $250 as possible.
To clear these bonuses you will have to play in real money cash games, tournaments, and/or SNGs. For every $1 in bonus you wish to receive you will have to clear 8 Frequent Player Points. These can be earned by paying rake in cash games or fees in tournaments and or SNGs. For every $1 in fees you will earn 5 FPPs. This is quite a nice return on your investment as each point is worth about 8 cents of bonus. Remember to choose your bonus wisely and to only go for the $1,000 or $2,000 bonuses if you’re fully confident you can clear the entire amount in 72 or 29 days.
Bet24.com Customer and Technical Support
Bet24 has been in the game for ten years now, and so have a lot of experience in offering support, although admittedly their entire history doesn't lie in online poker.
Probably the easiest way of getting in touch with the customer support desk is via email. They can sometimes take their time to get back to you, but if this is an issue then you can also get in touch with them via their phoneline support, which is available between 8am and 10pm GMT.
