One of the world’s premier heads-up NL cash game players, Steve Silverman aka Zugwat, has already made quite a name for himself at a young age. Zugwat started with a $15 deposit and has turned that into over $1,000,000 in online earnings, both from tournament and cash games. In February 2009, Zugwat won FTOPS Event #12 for over $350,000.
Only 21, Zugwat can be found battling the likes of Durrrr, Nutsinho, and other high-stakes professionals on PokerStars all the way up to $200/$400. Playing such high stakes can be quite swingy, Silverman claims to have had multiple $200,000 winning days and several $100,000 losing days. Unlike most other players, Zugwat exclusively plays heads-up, stating he does not have as much confidence in his 6max game. That experience has helped him book big wins over players such as David Benyamine.
