Like most other rooms, the Reefer Poker download is pretty easy to initiate and set up. Just click the link and follow the on-screen instructions to install. The software is compatible with Microsoft Windows 98 and newer and only runs in English. Sorry Mac users, but Reefer's software is not compatible with Mac.
One note for Vista users. Every time you start the software you will have to "allow" the program to run. A little annoying, but as of yet they haven't figured out how to work around it.
Additional software requirements:
- Minimum 400MHz Pentium CPU with at least 128MB of RAM
- Minimum screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels
- At least 30MB of free space
So as you can see, this software definitely takes up some space. However, they do offer some incredible features that are pretty exclusive to the Merge Network and they have an option to turn off animations to improve performance on slower PCs. Additionally, they are constantly updating the software, so that it can run faster and more efficiently, using less memory.
