PokerStars is, without a doubt, the largest poker room online today. They didn't get this large by luck. The PokerStars software was developed using Open SSL and CyptoGraphic. They also created their own poker network and have been online since 2000. Installing the software is very simple and offers a choice of 13 different languages. The lobby, tables, website and support can be displayed in these 13 languages as well. They have a beta release version of their software for Mac users. For the most part, the Mac beta works great but they have put on a disclaimer saying it is only in the beta phase and not yet complete so you play at your own risk.

PokerStars probably has the best software today, very crisp and smooth, and it is highly recommended. They still accept US players from all locations so, no matter where you live, you will be able to download and play at PokerStars!

Poker Stars is (and most likely always will be) one of the very best poker rooms online and its reputation is pristine. Poker Stars features the best tournaments, cash games, and satellites online, so it comes as no surprise that their software is top tier. The tab system, a common style these days, is adeptly employed by PokerStars. Despite having a plethora of games and their variations, you'll never have any trouble finding what you’re looking for because of the tab system that Poker Stars uses. For cash games, you pick the type of game you want and then there are a different set of tabs you'll use to select the limit of the game (such as No-limit, Limit, or Play Money). After that, there are tabs for the amount of money stakes, such as Micro or High Stakes. For tournaments, Sit n' Gos, and events you'll have three different sets of tabs.

While Stars offers a ton of options, it's nearly impossible to have trouble navigating through the poker room. On top of that, Poker Stars has quite possibly the best-looking and smoothest interface of all the poker clients.
