PokerCS may have the same players as the old Poker.Com, but the software is completely different. Poker_Com changed its business model and changed its network name to Merge Gaming early in 2007. They also redid their software after years of testing and ideas for improvement. This was a great move and it has some of the slickest software you can download today!
The Poker_Com download is very small, only 982 KB. It should be done in just a few seconds with cable or dsl. After the download, the wizard (which is only available in English) is very straight forward and basically just point and click. It takes another 45 seconds or so to download and upgrade the poker room, and after that you're ready!
After merging with other smaller poker networks, Merge Gaming and Poker Com became much larger. It also upgraded its software download and now used flash for some of the graphics and animation. All information is processed using 128 bit data encryption and nothing is released to anyone else. They also have a license and are regulated by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.
Although newer, PokerCS is not a small online poker room. They still have an average of 4,000 players on at peak hours and are still continuing to grow. There are many reasons for this but mainly because of its great poker software. They take all opinions and suggestions from its players, and that is what their new software is based off of. One downside is the only language currently supported is English.
