PayNoRake.com’s software is good, but not great. The site happens to be one of the newest around however, which could explain why they haven’t had the chance to improve their software greatly yet. Currently the software only support the Windows operating system, and you must have at least Windows 98 or better to run the software. Below are the required system requirements to run PayNoRake.com’s software:
Microsoft Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP/Vista
Pentium 300 MHz PC or faster
64MB ram
Screen Resolution of 800x600 pixels or higher
56k dial up internet access
25mb free hard drive space or better
The lobby of PayNoRake’s software is not nearly as feature-rich as many other poker room’s. It is basic and mostly just lists the tables available for the game you have chosen. There is no sort of filter to narrow down the tables shown so you will have to search a bit to find a game.
Once you are at the table, the view is rather bland and simple. Certain elements of the table interface seem crammed together and unorganized. You can easily miss some buttons or features as they do not stick out in the crowded area. Still, the cards and bet amounts are quite clear and you shouldn’t have a problem seeing them at all.
Although the software currently leaves a lot to be desired, PayNoRake is sure to expand rapidly and software improvements will most likely begin in the near future. It will only take a few small fixes to make the software competitive with some of the best available.
