Paul Wolfe
Paul Wolfe has been becoming more well known as a part of the “new age” poker professionals from the poker boom. Paul has been playing poker for nearly 20 years, but starting playing the tournament circuit early in 2002. Since as long as online poker has been alive, he has been playing on it. He quickly created a name for himself and was making a nice living with his hobby.
Although Wolfe primarily plays online, he likes to get off the computer for some live action as well. He played his first live tournaments in 2002; he took second in his first and won his second. He was immediately hooked and wanted more action. Since 2002, he has had many cashes and final tables, with his largest being $106,700 at the 2003 Showdown at the Sands. Paul focuses most of his time online because he likes to be at home with his daughter.
With his success, Wolfe has been writing articles for Full Tilt Poker and Card Player magazine. He gives great advice, and he is a sample of one of his Full Tilt articles:
I think there are two major reasons many players over value Ace-King. First is that in online tournaments, where the stacks start relatively low, Ace-King is usually worth playing aggressively. Players who win online satellites do so by playing Ace-King fast, so they come to big tournaments feeling good about this starting hand. The second reason is that many people have seen TV commentators crow about Big Slick, calling it a "huge hand." At a six-handed final table, Ace-King is a very big hand, but as Howard Lederer pointed out in his tip Viewer Beware, you need to realize that short-handed final-table strategy differs greatly from early tournament play.

Paul’s favorite games are pot-limit and no-limit hold’em, however he is rounded in almost every type of poker game today. Wolfe loves to play poker, both online and live, and continues to improve his game every day. He plays exclusively at Full Tilt Poker, under the name Paul Wolfe, and is usually spotted playing high stakes cash or high buyin tournaments.
Wolfe has five cashes in the WSOP and as of 2007, his total live tournament winnings exceed $350,000.
