Lynette Chan
Lynette Chan is a female poker player who has blasted onto the poker scene because of her outstanding poker skills as well as stunning looks. Born in Vancover, Canada, Chan became interested in poker from watching the World Poker Tour as well as World Series of Poker on T.V. It was then Chan decided she would give poker a try.
At this point Chan had a job as a marketing executive for luxury automotive brands such as Ferrari. However, because of her early success and obsession, Chan decided to quit her job and go pro. She had only one year of experience.
At first she played at the local casinos in the Vancouver area, but soon she wanted to play in bigger games with bigger fish. She decided to travel around the world searching for tougher games. Unlike many new faces in the poker scene, Chan rarely ever played online poker (she has also stated that she only plays online 5% of the time). She is now a successful No Limit Hold’em player, who plays as high as $10/$20 blinds and $50/$100 Limit Hold’em. She tries to fit in 3 to 4 sessions per week. Chan also enjoys playing Omaha.
Outside of poker, Chan works as an actress and as a model; she is represented by a top talent agency. In 2006, Full Tilt signed her on as one of their sponsored professionals. Also, she is rarely seen without her dog Portia, who will occasionally wear matching outfits with Lynette. Her love for animals is well known, as she volunteers at animal humane societies. However, even with so much interest from the modeling world and Hollywood, Chan’s main focus is poker and she intends for it to stay that way. When she has free time Chan also enjoys playing golf.
Chan now lives in L.A. and makes several trips a year to Las Vegas. She plans on going to school to get a degree in broadcasting. You can find Chan playing on Full Tilt or, if you’re lucky, in a local casino in Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
