Clearing the Bonus

To clear the bonus, play real money cash games or tournaments and collect VIP Points (VIPs). Players unlock the bonus in $5 increments for every 84 VIPs earned. For example, if you deposit $200, you will need to earn 16,800 VIPs.

Releasing the Bonus: Incremental

The bonus is released in $5 increments into your account – every 84 VIPs gains you $5, automatically placed into your account. If you want to collect the full $4,000 bonus, you must deposit $2,000 and then collect 67,200 VPPs (84 * 800), and receive 800 individual $5 deposits.

Earning VIP Points

You can earn VIPs by playing in any real money poker game on Lock Poker that has a rake or fee. In Lock Poker tournaments and Sit & Go’s, you earn points based on how much the entry fee costs. For every $1.00 USD in fees paid, you will earn 7 VIPs. If, for example, you play a tournament that costs $50+$5 to enter, the entry fee is $5. In this case, you will earn 35 VPP (5 * 7).

Note: "Play Money" and "Freeroll" tournaments do not charge a cash fee, and therefore do not award any VIPs.

In cash games, VIPs are awarded based on the total rake taken multiplied by the VIP rate. The VIP rate for cash games is $1 Rake = 1 VIP point. The total amount of VIPs is then divided among players who were involved in the pot, based on the amount each player contributed. For example, in a $1/$2 No-Limit Hold’em Ring Game, the total pot is $100, and $3 rake is collected. 3 VPPs are awarded to the table, to be separated between the players who contributed rake.

Based on tournaments, the bonus works out to be approximately 42% rakebake, as it takes $9600 in tournament fees to get back $4000. For tournaments, it takes approximately $12 to earn 84 VIPs, and thus unlock the $5 bonus amount.
