Keith Sexton
Known as one of the finest 7 Card Stud player, Keith Sexton had moved to Las Vegas for business but found his ultimate calling here in poker. It was chance relocation from Ohio in 1988 for his realty business when he realised that he had a natural flair for 7 Card stud. He turned pro soon and participated in his first WSOP in 1990 and finished 2nd at the Limit 7 Card stud game winning more than $1,00,000. This was the spur he needed to edge him to take on this career and ever since there has been no looking back.
He kept showing his skill at his favourite game at every tournament he took part in. He has had many money finishes to his name at 7 card stud in the WSOP events. After some 20 odd years of showing his strategy at the game he had mastered, he decided to move on to No limit Hold’em. He started off by taking part in the Limit Hold’em events but soon discovered he could do well at the No limit version also. He finished 6th at the Harrah's Rincon Poker Tournament - WSOP Circuit Main Event - No Limit Hold'em in 2005 and won close to $1, 00,000.
There were only smiles after that as he has made a mark in this game also now. He came 8th in the Tournament Of Champions- WSOP Circuit Qualified event
WSOP No Limit Hold'em FINAL and proved he had it in him. In the following year at the Legends of Poker/ WPT Event Season 5
Event #15 - No Limit Hold'em he came in 9th to further declare that he had arrived in the Hold’em game.
He did well at the 2007 Crown Aussie Millions Championship
Event #9 - No Limit Hold'em Championship also winning more than $45,000 there. Keith lives in Las Vegas with his wife and three children now. He has introduced his kids also to the game. In fact, one of his sons, Paul has also turned pro and finished fifth in the $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em tournament at the WSOP in 2007. He is also making a mark on the game and is on his way to becoming a poker prodigy. Keith believes that poker runs in his blood and that his kids will soon be stepping in his shoes.
When not playing poker, Keith loves to play tennis and basketball and enjoy the Vegas weather as a whole. His live earnings exceed $534,000 and there is a lot of poker still left in him. With his sons to follow, there will sure be a poker legacy of the Sexton family soon. Keith now plays online for Full tilt poker and is doing well there too.
