Greg Mueller has been aptly named “Full Blown Tilt” because of all the antics that he particularly exhibits while he plays poker at any table. He is a true comedian. A former Professional hockey player from Vancouver, Canada, he was first introduced to poker by his teammates during one of his many hockey road trips. He seriously began playing poker only after he retired from hockey in 1999. As for his education, he is a high school graduate and he has not thought of going on to college as he finds that he has a better career as a poker player than being anything else.

Playing hockey has helped him a great deal in his poker games. He knows exactly when and how to negotiate deals with ease especially when he plays his hand at the final table. This gives him an edge and he is able to make a win.

In the initial years, Greg began his poker career as a Limit cash game specialist. Soon he was able to move on to playing in No Limit cash events and tournaments. Consistent playing and hard work soon began to show results when in 2005 WSOP; he managed to cash in on four games and even made it to the final table in the $5000 Limit Hold’em tournament. However, in March 2006 he made it to the final table at WPT while playing in Reno and finished fourth. For Greg the name of the game is strategy.

Greg plays at full tilt poker now and though has never won a WSOP bracelet but has had many good money finishes there. In the 2008 WSOP $ 5,000 No Limit Hold'em – Shootout event he came in second taking home $ 298,638. Earlier the previous year in 2007, he ended up finishing close to another professional poker player Steve Bilirakis earning himself another booty of $328,554. This was in the $ 5,000 World Championship Mixed Hold'em (Limit/No-Limit) event. His best finish in WPT was in 2006 when he came in fourth in the $ 5,000 Championship Event - No Limit Hold'em and won $142,285.

Since Greg is always traveling from one tournament to another he finds that his diet and exercises have been suffering so he does make it a point to play many games when he returns home. He catches up on a quiet game of Skat which is similar to bridge but of German origin with his father. He loves spending quality time with family and friends and is especially fond of his little niece. When he is not playing poker anywhere it will not be surprising to see him at home as this is where he loves to be.

Greg feels that indulging in sporting activities like baseball, football and hockey while he enjoys his vacation at his family home in Vancouver, Canada helps him build up his concentration and stamina at his poker games.

He has so far accumulated total earnings of more than $1 million as of 2008, playing in live tournament events and championships. He is yet to win himself a bracelet and he sure is working towards winning one soon. He has not won himself any World Poker titles yet and nothing seems to deter him from winning one soon.
