GoldWin Poker Download Review
The initial GoldWin Poker Download file is named goldwinsetup.exe and is 5mb in size. Once you've saved this file somewhere on your computer, just double click the file to begin the installation process.
This will launch the GoldWin Setup Wizard, which will guide you through the installation process. It doesn't give you an option to select different languages, so hopefully you don't have a tough time with English. Even so, the installation process is pretty standard so you'll be able to find your way around.
The installation process then prompts you to select the destination folder where you'd like GoldWin Poker to be located. The default is set to C:\Program Files\B2BPOKER\GoldWin It will be okay to leave it set as default and to move on. Then it allows you to select a Start Menu folder in which you can create a GoldWin shortcut so it's easier to open in the future.
The installation software automatically downloads the remaining necessary files and installs them. On my cable connection, the entire process only took about a minute to complete.
Once fully installed, the Everest Poker software takes up about 9.4MB of disk space.
The hardware requirements aren't very high, so if your computer is able to handle most other applications with ease then handling GoldWin will be a breeze!
The software is pretty functionable and easy to use once you have it all set up. The graphics aren't all that great, but its navigation and functionality more than make up for that. In fact, the hardware requirements are so low partly due to the fact that there are no flashy graphics, so it can be looked at as a good thing - It makes it run faster!
The GoldWin Poker client offers some other cool features:
Multitabling has been becoming more popular with online poker players and GoldWin has made additions to their software that makes the whole process more efficient. With their mini-table option, the tables are shrunk down to size enabling a player to open many more tables on their screen at once. This is great for maximizing your profit playing poker.
Another good feature that helps with multi-tabling is reviewing the previous hand. It's easy to miss the results of a significant hand on one table if our attention is focused on another. Everest allows you to view the results of the previous hand (who won, how much, what cards, etc.) in the upper right corner of the game window. Click on the History button to see how the hand played out.
Overall the software is pretty slick. While it suffers in the graphics department it's quite strong in all the others! |
